KARACHI: One-month ration was arranged for 1000 families by Al Khidmat Women on Monday, in connection with holy month of Ramazan. It included flour, ghee, sugar, pulses, spices and other kitchen items.
The ration distribution program was organized in Arkanabad, Korangi. Ms Shehnaz Iqbal, Naveeda Anees and Talat Zaheer of Al Khidmat distributed the ration.
Ms. Iqbal said that Al Khidmat Women Wing was helping the low income members of society. The people for whom the ration was arranged included widows and old women.
Anees said that Al Khidmat Women had a unique way to distribute ration. They give tokens to these families against which ration items are issued to them.
“Al-Khidmat medical clinic has been serving since last 15 years in Arkanabad, where 150 patients are treated daily by male and female doctors. A mosque, Jamia Masjid Muhammad Bin Qasim, was also built here by the Al Khidmat Women Wing, where during Ramazan Iftaari is organized for 200 people daily,” she said.
