Rangers, police kill three terrorists in joint action

KARACHI: Pakistan rangers Sindh and police gunned down three alleged TTP terrorist in a joint action at Lyari area of Karachi, and rangers arrested three others criminals.

According to police sources, police and rangers on a tip-off raided a hideout of the suspects near post office in Gul Mohammad Lane of Lyari.

The accused opened fire on the paramilitary force. In the retaliatory fire, three criminals were killed and four others managed to flee. Police recovered three TT pistols from their possession and shifted their bodies to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

According to rangers spokesman, the killed criminals were identified as Hazrat Bilal, Siraj Gull and Umer Rana alias Laptop. Hazrat Bilal belonged to TTP;s Abid Muchchar group and wanted in six target killings, many street crimes and attack on traffic police Chowki in Sohrab Goth.

Siraj Gul also belonged to TTP and was wanted in bombing of school buildings in FATA, looting weapons and ammunition from law enforcement agencies and kidnapping eight FC personnel. Umer Rana alias Laptop was involved in target killing of four people.

Rangers in separate actions in Gulberg and Lyari arrested three criminals and recovered weapons from their possession. Further investigations were under way.
