KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday claimed to have arrested four suspects from Karachi who were allegedly linked with Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CTD Naveed Khawaja addressing a press conference said four terrorists, Abdul Jabbar alias Tension, Mohsin alias Kashif, Khalid and Mohammad Shafiq alias Pappu were arrested during a raid. He did not mention the place from where they were arrested.
He said that arrested terrorists were involved in an attack on Muhajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi) Chairman Afaq Ahmad and a bomb blast in Orangi Town.”
“Arrested agents also belonging to a political party and they used to receive money from RAW. They were trained in different places of India,” Khawaja said.
He said they were planning to disturb law and order in Pakistan especially in Karachi during Muharram.
