Reduction in tax valuation of Iranian tar-coal ordered

QUETTA: Orders have been issued for reduction in tax valuation of Iranian origin tar-coal. Now it would cost 240 dollars instead of 380 dollars per tonne.

Terming this reduction as first drop of rain President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Quetta Jamal Tarakai has expressed hoped that as a result of reduction in tax valuation of goods imported form Iran origin land route would resolve long standing demand of people associated with trade. Orders of reduction in Iran origin tar-coal were issued yesterday by official and now 240dollars per tonne would be received than 280 dollars per tonne.

He said Chamber of Commerce was striving under the leadership of Jamal Tarakai for special concession in tax valuation to people associated with trade. Balochistan Senators moved a resolution in the Upper House in this regard which was adopted while Balochistan assembly had also approved a similar resolution.

Besides business community leaders of political and religious parties are also agree that Balochistan business special should get relief in this regard. It would cause positive impacts on trade in the province and people would get massive employment opportunities.

Efforts were underway by Jamal Tarakai and other members of his team from day one. They had held meetings with Federal minister Khurram Dastgir and FBR officials and apprised them in this regard.

Jamal Tarakai hoped that we hope goods imported to Pakistan via land route special orders for tax valuation would be issued. If demand so business community was ensured there is no reason business is promote din Balochistan and people do not get massive employment opportunities.

He said only solution to problems confronting Balochistan is economic prosperity for which Centre has to give special relief to people associated with trade in Balochistan.
