Relief aid being sent to IDPs: Sharjeel

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Wednesday that Sindh government has been sending relief aid to IDP living in camps set up by federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments.

The government should complete its tenure, but in the context of election rigging, Imran Khan wanted to derail the democracy, he said while addressing a ceremony at KPC.

Sharjeel also announced to release Rs 1 million for construction of auditorium in KPC and distributed residential plot challans among the journalists. He said checking system has been tightened at all checkpoints of Sindh as no any kind of weapon enters in the area.

He said everyone was aware of the agenda of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri which he had adopted. “Qadri wants to bring revolution before the election. If he has to bring revolution, then he should bring it in Canada,” said Sharjeel.

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) want to make alliance with Qadri against the government, he added. He said Imran Khan and Qadri’s goals were same but their styles were different.

He said Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) was pursuing dictatorial approach against the media and killed innocent people in Punjab.
