LARKANA: Commissioner Larkana Division Dr. Saeed Mangnejo has ordered that constant vigilance must be kept on estate agencies so that they should not extend any help in letting out premises to outsiders without police registration, adding all entry points at divisional, district, city and town level must also be checked.
He further directed that security points must be strengthened throughout the division so that criminals activities could be monitored and curbed. He was presiding over a high level meeting in his office regarding implementing National Action Plan (NAP) for providing maximum security in which DIG Larkana Zone, Saeen Rakhyo Mirani, SSPs and DSPs of the entire Larkana division participated along with officers of Rangers and Health department.
NAP meeting was held in compliance to the directives of Prime Minister and Sindh Chief Minister for making foolproof security arrangements in the province to fight terrorism after the Peshawar and Shikarpur carnages. It was decided in the meeting that strict security checking will be made at all entry points of the division, district and cities to curb unlawful activities forthwith.
The meeting decided that estate agents must be forced to inform relevant police stations of all the houses given on rent to the people so that their activities could be monitored. The meeting directed that estate businessmen should refrain from letting houses to criminals on rent without police registration and verification.
Mangnejo told the meeting that rescue centre will be established in Larkana to provide emergency help and assistance to any incident which will be equipped with personnel of law enforcement, health and other related facilities. It was also decided that tight security arrangements should be made in hospitals, schools, mosques, mandirs, worship places, markets, Imambargahs, roads and other vulnerable points so that no untoward incidents takes place at any cost.
Dr Saeed further directed the police to keep constant vigilance on banned outfits and it must also be ensured that they are not operating in other names adding that if they are found then strict action should be taken against them.
Mangnejo further directed that it should also be ensured that loud speaker is not misused. The meeting further decided that strict security must be provided to political and religious gatherings and no such meeting be allowed which has not been granted prior permission by the district administration. He further directed that all cellular phone Sims must be verified and registered through biometric system which must also be ensured.
