Report: (Multi-pronged strategy adopted to overcome energy crisis)

ISLAMABAD: The government has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to overcome energy crisis in the country.

According to a report, the government plans to build two LNG terminals at Port Qasim and Gwadar port to handle over two bcfd of LNG, which would help augment gas supply and overcome shortfall.

Besides, the government has also awarded several licenses to explore more oil and gas resources and augment domestic production. The domestic crude oil production has reached a record level of one hundred thousand barrels per day.
