River flows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma

KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under: Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 24,300 cusecs and Outflows 60,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 10,300 cusecs and Outflows 10,300 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 9,300 cusecs and Outflows 55,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 9,100 cusecs and Outflows 6,000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 67,600 cusecs and Outflows 60,100 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 67,200 cusecs and Outflows 62,000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 57,400 cusecs and Outflows 48,600 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 8,800 cusecs and Outflows Nil Guddu- Inflows 42,800 cusecs and Outflows 35,800 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 36,800 cusecs and Outflows 7,500 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 8,170 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1499.86 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 3.804 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1214.10 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 5.305 MAF, Chashma – dead level 637 feet, present level 643.40 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.102 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
