Robber gets four-year term

KARACHI: An Additional District & Session Judge East Choudhry Waseem Iqbal awarded four-year imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10,000 to accused Sajjad Hussain in robbery case.

The District & Session Judge East pronounced the verdict after recording the evidences, statements of witnesses and hearing the arguments from both sides. The court found Hussain guilty of looting Sajjad Zaidi, on 21 February 2014. The accused will have to undergo an additional two months imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine.

According to the prosecution, the accused with his absconding accomplices was involved in looting Sajjad Zaidi, a complainat in the case on 21 February 2014. The police party reached the scene and apprehended the accused red handed while his accomplices, Ameer and Riaz managed to escape from the scene.
