Sacking of workers flayed

KARACHI: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) of Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf has been fully exposed due to its anti-social, anti-poor and anti-worker policies, said PPP Parliamentary Leader in the Senate of Pakistan and PPP Media Cell in-charge Senator Saeed Ghani.

In a statement he said the provincial government of KP claims to struggle for the rights for the masses but it is depriving the daily wagers and factory workers of their means of bread and butter.

Saeed Ghani taking serious notice of retrenchment of 33 workers of Phillip Morris Tobacco Company and booking them in fake cases vowed that the PPP won’t remain calm over this tyranny. He demanded to stop inflicting atrocities on the helpless workers, take immediate steps for the reinstatement and making them free from fake cases.

Senator Ghani also deplored the sacking of 29 employees of a local private TV in Karachi and demanded the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority to take immediate step for the reinstatement of the sacked employees.
