Sardar Abbas took notice on the poor performance of driving license branch

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary Transport and Mass Transit Department Capt. (Retd) Sardar Mohammad Abbas has taken serious notice of the poor performance of the driving license branch and vehicles emission testing office and warned of taking strict action against those responsible for the noted ambiguities in the award of issuing licenses to the public.

During a surprise raid on both the subordinate offices on Thursday, the Secretary Transport checked the record and asked many queries on the bogus entries in the license and vehicles emission testing process. He found certain ambiguities in many of the records and took serious notice of the same.

The Secretary Transport also checked the new VETS machinery laying useless since long and expressed severe concern over the same. He asked the concerned quarters as to why the new machinery was not installed till now.

He issued strict directives to get install the machinery before the end of this month. He also directed for giving necessary training to the concerned staff in running the machinery.

Capt. (Retd) Sardar Mohammad Abbas also warned the staff of the license branch of strict action against them in case of any complaint was received. He vehemently declared that he wanted delivering better services to the people and in this connection could not tolerate any leniency and laziness on the part of the department employees.
