SBP to celebrate 68th Independence Day

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan will celebrate 68th Independence Day of Pakistan on 14th August, 2015 at its Headquarters II Chundrigar Road Karachi. Governor SBP Ashraf Mahmood Wathra will be the chief guest for the flag hoisting ceremony at 8:50 am.

The colorful event will commence with playing of national anthem followed by march-past of contingent of police and security guards. Further, two important events will mark the Independence Day celebrations this year which will make it a unique feature for media:

Governor SBP will unveil SBP vision 2020 (Strategic Plan 2016-20) in his speech. He will inaugurate a rare collection of, hand-made designs and proofs of several important issues of original designs of currency notes and audio & video of the State Bank Museum.

This collection has been donated by a Pakistani citizen Adil Salahuddin, Sitara-e-Imtiaz and President’s Award recipient. In recognition of his services, SBP will present an appreciation shield to Adil Salahuddin on this auspicious day. Later on, media and guests will pay a visit to Museum and Art Gallery at SBP premises.
