Sehwan braves supply of contaminated water

Sehwan Sharif: A large number of residents of Sehwan Sharif are compelled to use contaminated water being supplied to them.

According to details, the residents in Sehwan Sharif complain that the water supplied to them from the Manchar Lake is foul and contain sewage. Different water-borne diseases are on the rise due to use of this contaminated water. The quality of this water has already been termed substandard by local doctors. The medical superintendent of Sehwan Sharif Hospital Dr Moinuddin Siddiui has declared the water of Manchhar Lake hazardous to health.

The citizens have demanded of the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali, MPA Syed Murad Ali Shah and Commissioner of Hyderabad to order supply of clean water to the citizens and stop the supply of toxic water to Sehwan town.
