KARACHI: Seven people were killed and three others including a woman injured in different mishaps in the metropolis on Wednesday.
A teenager, Abdul Wahab, 16, son of Rahimullah, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit him near Sans Manzil in Keamari. He was shifted to nearby private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
A woman, Ariba Mohammad Nadeem, 38, resident of Bombay Bazaar in Kharadar was killed when a she was hit by a vehicle near Jangal School in Baldia Town area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy.
A youth, Shehzad, 22, son of Atta Mohammad, died when a vehicle hit him at the door of Panama Company in Shireen Jinnah Colony. The body was shifted to CHK for medico legal formalities.
A 45-year-old man was crushed by a train in Bhains Colony, Landhi area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for an autopsy.
Shahid Ali, 30, belonging to Balochistan committed suicide by hanging himself in Naval Flats in Mauripur area. The body was shifted to CHK for a postmortem.
In another incident, two young brothers, Mohammad Nabi, 12, son of Haji Sodoo and Shair Mohammad, 14, residents of Jamali Goth drowned into a water tank near police check point in Ahsanabad. The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
20-year-old Ayesha Javed, was injured when unknown vehicle hit her near Civil Hospital at KMC Workshop. She was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
A youth, Abrar Husain, 22, was injured by speeding vehicle in Boat Basin, Clifton. He was shifted to CHK for treatment.
In another incident, Khurram, 25, son of Shakeel, was injured in a road accident in Five Star Chowrangi in North Nazimzbad. He was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
