Seven fall prey to city violence

KARACHI: Seven people were killed and another was injured in separate incidents of violence, here on Monday.

Bahadur Khan, aged 65, son of Haji Gul Rehman, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near CNG pump, Pahar Gunj area. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

According to police sources, the motive behind the incident was a personal enmity.

In another incident, Moachko police have recovered three bullet-riddled bodies having severe torture marks from Abdullah Goth. The deceased were identified as Abdul Hamal, aged 55, son of Saleh Mohammad Marri, Najibullah, 30, son of Bohar Khan, and an unknown person, aged about 35 years.

All the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.

Yet in another incident, an unknown person, aged 27, was gunned down by unknown armed men at Ibrahim Hyderi road in Korangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

Separately, Wali Mohammad, 23, son of Ghous Mohammad, was shot and injured near Safoora Goth by unidentified armed men. He was rushed to JPMC where he succumbed to his injuries. The motive behind target killing could not be ascertained yet.

Meanwhile, two persons, Fayaz, 40, son of Dost Mohammad, and an unknown person, aged about 30, were shot and injured near Murghi Khana in Malir by unknown armed men. Both were rushed to JPMC where unknown person succumbed to injuries.
