KARACHI: Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Culture and Tourism Ms Sharmila Faruqui said that corruption is an insidious plague that has a wide range of corrosive effects on societies.
She applauded the efforts and reforms done by Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SPPRA) for the improvement of the system and transparency in public procurement.
This she said after a briefing given by MD SPPRA Abdul Rahim Soomro at SPPRA office today.
She added that complaints and grievance redress system is also enhanced which is another milestone to clip the wings of corruption mafia. It is an infinite prove that Sindh government is taking all possible steps to eliminate irregularities and malpractices in government offices; she concludes
Managing Director Abdul Rahim Soomro brief that SPPRA website is also updated and uploaded with day to day tenders, news, events and orders. He added that we are also arranging training sessions and capacity building seminars on public procurement rules & procedures for all department’s concern officers and officials.
The briefing was also attended by Secretary Culture and Tourism Abdul Kareem Solangi, MD Tourism Nazeer Soomro, Director Culture department Roshan Ali Kanasro, Deputy Director SPPRA Ayub Ali and others.
