SHCBA condemns university attack, demands compensation

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Thursday condemned the terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda and demanded compensation for families of martyrs and injured.

A general body meeting of SHCBA was held in the presence of large members. The association was of the view that national security agencies, and federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments have failed to protect the lives and properties of innocent people.

In the meeting, it was demanded of the government to provide foolproof security at all public places, particularly educational and religious institutions so that incidents may not repeated again. “The valuable lives of people should be protected and the culprits must be brought to justice,” they demanded. The association said that the government should pay adequate compensation to the martyrs’ families and provide free and better treatment to the persons who sustained injuries in the attack.

They also demanded of KPK and Federal governments to curb the terrorism by arresting the culprits and bringing them to justice. In the meeting, they also prayed for rest of for departed souls and recovery of those who injured in the attack.

The terrorists attacked Bacha Khan University, Charsadda in KPK on Wednesday morning which left 21 dead and 30 injured.
