Sindh assembly condemns Kasur child abuse tragedy

Karachi: Sindh assembly here Wednesday strongly condemned the Kasur child abuse tragedy and demanded early arrest of the culprit and speedy justice to affected children and their families.

The Joint Resolution singed by the members from treasury and opposition benches said this House vehemently condemns the largest and worst ever incident of child abuse in Pakistan in Kasur, Punjab. The barbarity involves more than 300 hundred children from the age of 5 to 14. The glaring act that the abuse had been ongoing since 2006 and no action whatsoever was taken until the victim parents staged protest raising serious concerns regarding the sheer negligence and apathy of the police. The House demands immediate arrest of the culprits and speedy justice for the victims and their families.
