Sindh Commission on Status of Women Bill introduced

Karachi: The Sindh Commission on Status of Women Bill was introduced in the Sindh Assembly here Monday.

The bill was introduced by Sindh minister for parliamentary affairs Sikandar Mandhro.

The statement of objects and reasons of the bill say Pakistan is signatory to several international agreements and conventions related to women, in particular CEDAW. This commission shall play a key role in overseeing and facilitating the compliance of these agreements.
