Sindh does not want any chaos between federation and province: Chandio

KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh for Information Maula Bux Chandio said on Thursday that Sindh government will have to take a bitter pill in the case of rangers powers extension, but the attitude of the federation needs to be acceptable to Sindh government. He said that the issue between federal and Sindh governments could not be resolved with threats, while Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan people’s Party should resolve their problems with mutual understanding.

He was addressing media men during his visit to Karachi Press Club for congratulating KPC’s newly elected body. He said that PPP never opposed extension to rangers powers for controlling the criminal activities. The joint operation of rangers and Sindh police has restored peace in Karachi, Chandio said. He said that PPP has not opposed the Karachi operation as Chief Minister Sindh and all others had supported the Karachi operation, so Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA) should continue their operational activities, he said.

Chandio said the federal government should respect the mandate of the provinces. He said that PPP respects the mandate of MQM in Karachi. He said that PPP and MQM should work jointly for betterment of Sindh

He said some political gypsies do not like democracy as they polishes their politics in these days.
