Sindh principals trained in HEC workshop

ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) organized a six-day workshop for capacity building of principals, vice principals and senior faculty members of Government Degree Colleges of Sindh province at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur.

The workshop, held in collaboration with World Bank’s Tertiary Education Support Programme, was aimed at providing baseline knowledge about governance, preparation of PC-I, mission statement and vision. Fifty seven participants from different colleges of the province attended the workshop.

Saleemullah Sohoo, Director (Academics) HEC thanked the World Bank and Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor SALU, for providing facilities for organizing the workshop. He said that it is high time to initiate reforms in the colleges of Pakistan for improvement of academic standards and curriculum design. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Focal Person of the workshop briefed the participants about administrative hierarchy, facilities and infrastructure of the University.
