KARACHI: Six people were killed and four others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Monday.
According to rescue sources, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Dilawar, Noor Isalam and Din Mohammad, aged between 25 to 40 in Kashti Wali Building at Bengali Para in Korangi 2 ½, injuring three of them. They were rushed to a private hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. Later, bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.
A man, Akber, 45, was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Koragi 3 1/2. The body was shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.
In Bhains Colony, Landhi area an armed clash took place between two groups over some monetary transaction, in which a man, Nadeem was shot dead and one other injured. The body and injured were shifted to the JPMC.
In a separate incident, a man, Abid Hussain, was shot dead by unidentified armed men in North Nazimabad. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy.
Yet in another incident, a man, Shiraz, 26, son of Nawaz, was shot and injured by unidentified armed man. He was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
Two men, Sirfraz, 30, son of Hakim, and Sohail, 25, son of Ibrahim, were injured when unidentified armed person opened fire on them in Gulshan-e- Maymar. They were shifted to ASH for treatment.
A youth, Sahil, 21, son of Bashir, was injured by unknown armed person in Allahwala Town, Korangi area. He was brought to JPMC for treatment.
