Six killed in separate incidents

KARACHI: Six people were killed in different incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

A man, Waseem, 28, was injured in a road accident in Ramswami area. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries during medication.

Taha Malik, 30, son of Mubashir Khalid Malik, died when a speeding vehicle hit him near Karsaz Bridge. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy.

A woman, Naeema Khatoon, 68, and her brother, Mohammad Aslam, 65, brunt to death in the fire that broke out at their home near Tipu Sultan police station in Mehmoodabad. The bodies were shifted to JPMC for medico-legal formalities. However, fire fighters extinguished the fire after hectic efforts.

In another incident, a man, Mohammad Irfan, 45, son of Habib Shah, electrocuted while working at his home near Anda Morr in New Karachi. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed (ASH) Hospital for a postmortem.

In another incident of electrocution happened near Banaras Chowrangi, where a youth, Altaf, 22, son of Yousaf, died when electric shot hit him at his home. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
