KARACHI: Sindh Madressatul Islam University has decided that the admissions in Matriculation education system and O and A level (Cambridge academic System) in SMIU Model School will commence from March 12, which will continue up to March 20.
Initially, the admissions will be given in Class I and Class V in the Cambridge wing. SMI University besides Matriculation System is adding Cambridge wing in its Model School from the current year.
In a statement issued by the University administration on Tuesday, it has been announced that the registration fee can be obtained by payment of Rs 1000 fee in Cambridge Academic wing, while the registration fee for Matriculation system will be Rs 500. The registration forms can be received from the Admission Office of SMIU on working days.
SMIU administration has also decided that the classes of the Model School of SMI University will be run in tow shifts i-e morning and evening shift so as to accommodate maximum number of students for better education.
The statement further added that the admissions in School and Technical Training Center of SMI University in its Malir Campus will be given in the month of August of the current year. The construction work of the building for school and technical training center is going on. As such, two separate schools of SMI University will impart quality education and will function separately, out of which one will be in the City Campus of SMI University and other in the new school being established on the plot of SMI University in the Education City at Malir.
