Karachi: Sindh Olympic Association (SOA), the organizers of the inaugural National Beach Games, expects 1500 male and female athletes from all over Pakistan to turn up for the event, which will be held in November in Karachi.
The Executive Committee of SOA met under the chairmanship of Brig (r) Rashid Malik, SOA President. The administrative arrangements concerning the National Beach Games and Sindh Games – 2015 were discussed.
It was decided in the meeting that the national event will be held in the first week of November. Approximately 1500 men and women athletes from all four Provinces, Services, Departments, Islamabad, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan would participate in the event.
Meanwhile, the preparations for 17th Sindh Games 2015 have also been finalized, which will be held in December 2015 in Larkana. Permission for holding 17th Sindh Games at Larkana will be sought from Government of Sindh. Approval from Sindh Government for participation of Benazirabad (Nawabshah) for the first time in 17th Sindh will also be sought.
More than 2200 men and women athletes are expected to participate in Sindh Games.
