Solidarity with army: PML-Q stages Pakistan Zindabad Rally

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Sindh on Sunday took out “Pakistan Zindabad Rally” from Karsaz to Karachi Press Club to express solidarity with armed forces.

A large number of party leaders, activists and supporters converged at Karsaz and started marching towards Karachi Press Club, where they held a demonstration in support of Pakistan Army.

The participants, carrying placards and banners, were chanting slogans in the support of defence institutions of the country. They reached press club in cars, motorcycles, jeeps, buses, coasters, rickshaws and land cruisers.

The workers of PML-Q ladies wing, labour wing, lawyers wing, ulema wing and youth wing also took part in the rally. They were also holding pictures of PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Syed Mushahid Hussain.

National songs were also played during the rally which enthralled the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Haleem Adil Shaikh, President PML-Q Sindh, said that the purpose of this big event was to express solidarity with the defence institutions of the country.

He said that Pakistan armed forces are not alone as 180 million people of country are with our brave armed forces. He said that so-called heavy mandate of PML-N government was the result of manipulation of elections and does not reflect to support of the majority people of country. “PML-N had made tall claims of overcoming electricity load-shedding in six months and now they are making excuses and misguiding the nation.”

Haleem added that government was not sincere to resolve the problems of common man rather they were just few family members and friends who have been enriching themselves at the cost of country.

He said that they have mortgaged each Pakistani to the IMF and the World Bank while the only achievement of this government was that they had doubled the national debt.

“In the name of peace negotiations with Taliban, the government has played a big drama with the nation, our innocent citizens and armed personnel are still being killed by the extremist forces with whom government wanted to continue peace talks”, Shaikh said.

He further said that Mian Nawaz Sharif was meeting with the Indian Prime Minister-elect but he must not forget that Mr. Modi was the same person who was held responsible for genocide of innocent Muslims of Gujrat for which he even refused to apologizing.

PML-Q Sindh chief emphasized when Sharif meets Mr. Modi, hence he should not engage in trivial issues of selling and buying potatoes and onions but should discuss major issues seriously, which include Kashmir issue and violation of Indus water treaty by the India and Indian interference in Balochistan.

He said that an independent and impartial election commission should be re-constituted, while honest and independent members should be appointed for holding fair and free elections.

Leader Babu Sarwar Siyal, GR Baloch, Jafar-ul-Hassan, Latif Rind, Syed Rafiullah, Naeem Adil Shaikh, Javed Aiwan, Farida Laghari, Shazi Maqsood, Zeeshan Panhwar also spoke on the occasion.

Pakistan Zindabad rallies were also held in Dadu, Ghotki and Jacobabad by the local leaders and workers of PML-Q.
