South Zone police arrest 66

KARACHI: South Zone police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 66 suspects including gang war criminals, terrorists and absconders from different parts of metropolis.

On the directives of DIG south Dr Jameel Ahmad police conducted raids against gang war criminals, terrorists and criminals in Kalakot, Garden and Saddar areas and arrested suspects, Mohammad Yousaf, Mohammad Faizan, Riaz, Mohammad Sarfraz, Nizamuddin, Faizan Ali and Mohammad Umair while, Fahad, Ghulam Shabbir alias Imran, Abdur Rahman, Ghulam Farid, Faizan Ali and Hanif alias Shoaib.

One hand grenade, one 9mm pistol, 11 pistols, 12 magazines, cartages, three snatched motorcycles from Meethadar and Aram Baugh and looted property were recovered from their possession.

Meanwhile, Mehmoodabad police arrested 33 gamblers after successful raid on a gambling den. They said stake money and instruments of gambling were seized from their possession.

However, Mehmoodabad, Kalri and Napier police arrested five suspects who were wanted to drug cases. 2-Kg hashish was recovered from them.

Meanwhile, police arrested 16 other criminals including absconders from the jurisdiction of South police. They were wanted to police in different cases.
