Speaker: (NA Speaker launches parliamentary studies program)

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the entire political leadership is united to strengthen parliamentary traditions and institutions in the country.

He was speaking at the launching ceremony of parliamentary studies program at Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services here on Monday.

He said the parliament has an important role for promotion and stability of democracy. Responsibility also lies with intellectuals and academicians to play their role for strengthening democracy.

The speaker expressed the confidence the parliamentary studies course will help provide capable parliamentary workforce for future and strengthen the parliamentary institutions.

The parliamentary studies program is designed to ensure provision of qualified human resource equipped with relevant knowledge and expertise to serve the parliamentary institutions and the legislators effectively.
