Karachi: President of the Karachi City Cricket Association KCCA Sirajul Islam Bukhari has termed the selection of Pakistan cricket squad for test matches against South Africa as a fairly balanced team.
“The team announced by the selection committee is fairly balanced side and competent to face South Africa, the world’s number one team in the upcoming test series,” Bukhari said.
He said the combination of the batting line and the bowlers were prudently selected.
Bukhari termed the inclusion of wicketkeeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed, the Karachi based player, as a good sign for the team.
“The comeback of most competent wicket keeper Sarfaraz Ahmed, who has performed exceptionally well in the recently concluded President’s trophy and the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam trophy, is a good sign,” he said.
In the past KCCA president had expressed discontent after Karachi based players had allegedly met cold response from national selection committee.
