Sports: Cricket: National conditioning summer camp begins today

Karachi: A conditioning summer camp has been scheduled to commence today (Tuesday) at Gaddafi Stadium and National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore and is scheduled to conclude on June 6.

The initial screening of players will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at NCA. From May 8 onwards, two daily sessions will be held at Gaddafi Stadium and NCA simultaneously.

The selected players for the summer camp have been divided into two teams. PCB Panthers will have Ahmad Shehzad, Taufeeq Umar, Imran Farhat, Yasir Hameed, Misbah Ul Haq, Umar Akmal, Faisal Iqbal, Harris Sohail, Fawad Alam, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanveer, Abdul Rehman, Atif Maqbool, Umar Gul, Ehsan Adil, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali, Mohammad Sami, Adnan Akmal and Babar Azam in its fold.

While the other team has been named PCB Tigers and it will have Nasir Jamshed, Sharjeel Khan, Shaan Masood, Khurram Manzoor, Younis Khan, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Sohaib Maqsood, Umar Amin, Mohammad Hafeez, Anwar Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Raza Hassan, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Talha, Mohammad Irfan, Bilawal Bhatti, Aizaz Cheema, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Sami Aslam in the side.
