Karachi: Pakistan U17 cricket team narrowly defeated England Development Program U17 cricket team by two wickets in the second one-day match at ICC Academy in Dubai.
According to information made available here, England side batted first in the match and put on board 210-8 in 50 overs. Wicket-keeper batsman Moores (59 runs) and opener and captain Holden (54 runs) batted well for the side.
Shadab Khan bowled lethally and captured four wickets conceding 38 runs in ten overs. Mohammad Asghar took two wickets.
Pakistan in response mad a shaky start and were reduced to 55-4 in 16th over but Y. Babar and Umaid Masood (39 runs) anchored the inning. Y. Babar played a match winning and unbeaten 78-run knock, which included ten boundaries.
