Sports: Cricket: PCB reward players for series win against Australia

Karachi: Chairman PCB Shaharyar Mohammad Khan has approved bonus and performance incentives totaling to Rs14.75 million to the triumphant Pakistan squad and team management and support staff that beat Australia 2-0 for its first series victory in 20 years.

The two experienced campaigners and mainstays of Team Pakistan, skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan have been rewarded Rs1.5 million apiece – Rs500000 bonus and Rs1 million performance incentive each.

While Rs 500000 bonus has series win bonus has been given across the board to each of the members of the squad and Rs350000 to everyone in team management and support staff.

Other than Misbah and Younis, five other standout performers have also been rewarded with performance incentives as well. Azhar Ali and Zulfiqar Babar were awarded Rs 500000 apiece to make it a total of Rs1 million for each of them, while Ahmed Shehzad and Zulfiqar Babar each Rs250000 to take the total to Rs750000 each and Yasir Shah Rs100000 for Rs600000 in all.
