Sports: Hockey: Junior hockey camp moved to Islamabad from Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has moved the national junior camp ahead of the Sultan Johor Cup Hockey Tournament from Karachi to Islamabad citing ongoing security issues in the city.

The camp was originally scheduled to begin from June 9 here at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium. However, the ongoing volatile law and order situation in the city following the arrest of Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain in London has forced PHF move the camp to Islamabad.

The camp will now begin June 13 at Islamabad’s Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium.

PHF has requested all selected probable players to report to the Camp Commandant Manzoor-ul-Hassan at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium on June 13.
