Sports: Hockey: PHF to conduct trials for junior teams on May 22

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will be conducting open trials to select Pakistan Junior and Pakistan Youth teams here at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium on May 22.

Pakistan Hockey Federation has decided to hold trials to facilitate all those players who are actually part of the participating teams in the ongoing 33rd National Junior Hockey Championship but have not found a place in the playing eleven yet.

National Selection Committee headed by Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui along with other members will conduct the trials. Boys born between, January 1, 1996 to December 31, 1999 are eligible to take part in the trials.

PHF is conducting these trials and subsequently selection of national junior teams ahead of the forthcoming Youth Olympics Games, which will be held from coming August 16-28 in Nanjing, China.
