SSUET student earns USAID Fulbright Scholarship

KARACHI: Syed Mustafa Jamal, a student of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), earned the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Chancellor SSUET, Jawaid Anwar, appreciated him for this great achievement and wished him success in every endeavour.

He was selected among 1700 candidates for the scholarship. With BS degree in Biomedical Engineering from Sir Syed University, he is about to leave for higher education to United States in coming months. He is looking for doing Master’s in Neural Regeneration, because after completing education, he aims to support Army in War against Terror that mostly results in nerve injuries of the soldiers.

Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Fulbright Scholarship covers tuition, required textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance. It selects students with leadership potential who have an understanding of global problems like environmental issues, food security, public health, education and other challenges that require innovation, creativity and knowledge that transcends borders.
