Stern action to be taken against concerned PD if timely payment of salaries to project employees were not ensured, Shahram Tarakai

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai has strictly directed the Project Directors (PDs) of all the projects/programs running under the Health Department to ensure the timely payment of salaries to their project employees and resolve all their petty issues adding that in case employees of any project/program staged protest or took to the street due to non-payment of their salaries, the concerned PD will be held responsible for that and as such his salary will be stopped and stern action will be taken against him.

He was chairing meeting of PDs of various project / programs running under the health department including EPI, MNCH, LHW, Hepatitis, Malaria Control Program etc here on Thursday.

The meeting discussed in detail various matters related to these projects and a number of important decisions were taken to the end. Besides all the PDs other high up of health department also attended the meeting.

All the PDs were directed to present detailed reports about all the vehicles of their respective projects/programs within the next three days and hand-over all the vehicles and other assets of closed projects to the health department. The chair also directed the PDs to submit detailed reports about the past one-year performance and achievements of their respective projects/programs within next few days.

The meeting also decided that monthly review meetings of all the projects/programs would be held regularly to review its performance whereas the performance of all such projects will also be evaluated through a neutral third party.

Shahram Khan stressed the PDs to personally pursue their cases in government offices instead of only relying on the traditional way of official correspondence so that things could be disposed off well in time and wastage of time could be avoided. He further directed the PDs to ensure utmost transparency in the financial matters of their projects.

The meeting decided that as per policy decision of the provincial government, all the recruitments accept class-IV employees in such project would be made through NTS.
