KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said: “We appreciate the struggle of people of Vietnam for freedom of their country.”
This he said while talking to the Ambassador of Vietnam in Pakistan Mr Naguyen Xuan Luu who called on him here at CM House Monday.
The chief minister said that the struggle of the people of Vietnam is highly respected by the people of Pakistan. “You have established your nation and country and have earned respect all over the world,” he said.
The Ambassador said that his country was importing wheat, sports goods and such other items from Pakistan and his country was keen to further strengthen bilateral trade between the two countries.
He said that his country was interested to invest in Sindh for which avenues were being explored.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Sindh was rich in natural resources and “we have conducive atmosphere for investment in energy, infrastructure and agricultural sector,” he said.
He invited Vietnamese investor to in Thar coal. “We produce wheat, rice, cotton and fruits like mangoes and dates in surplus. You import these commodities to your country,” he said.
The chief minister thanked the diplomat for coming to meet him. He presented him traditional Sindh cap, ajrak and memento of CM House to the guest.
