Students protest against attack on Charsadda varsity

KARACHI: Condemning the killing of innocent students and staff members in the terrorists attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, the activists of Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) Karachi chapter staged a protest demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club on Wednesday.

The protestors, carrying placards and banners, raised slogans against the killing of innocent students and asked the government to take effective steps to eradicate terrorism from the country.

The protest was led by Nazim Islami Jamiat Talaba Karachi South chapter Nusrat Ali, Information Secretary Wajid Ali and Waseem Sajjad.

Talking to reporter Waseem Sajjad said that the government should discharge its responsibilities to eradicate the menace of terrorism in the country. He said in the prevailing situation no any mosque remains safe from these attacks, nor any school, university, public place or worship places of minorities are secure.

He said that this attack is a question mark on the ongoing operation in Pakistan. He said this attack has proved that the huge money being spent on the operation against the terrorists may be being wasted and it has also exposed the government’s tall claims. He said our rulers should better make our own house in order, before solving the issues of other Muslim countries.
