ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 41% Pakistanis said they faced hair fall during the last year; 59% Pakistanis did not face the problem.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “In the past one year, have you faced any of the following problems/diseases related to hair: Hair fall?”
In response to this question, 41% respondents said they faced hair fall during the last year, while 59% said that they did not face hair fall during the last year. According to the gender-wise breakdown of the survey, there was not much difference between the percentage of men and women who faced the problem last year. Among men, 41% said they faced the problem while 59% did not. Among women, 40% said they faced the problem while 60% did not.
The Question was: “In the past one year, have you faced any of the following problems/diseases related to hair: Hair fall?”
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1389 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 19 – January 26, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
