Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by , 72% Pakistanis believe that the viewpoint that Hindus and Muslims are socially and politically different is correct today; 46% believe that it is completely correct, 26% believe that it is somewhat correct.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “To what extent do you think that this viewpoint (that Hindus and Muslims are socially and politically different) is correct today?” In response to this question 46% said that it is completely correct, 26% said that it is somewhat correct, 15% said that it is somewhat incorrect and 13% said that it is completely incorrect.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1756 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during December 07 – December 14, 2015. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
