Taj Haider fumes on response of federal govt

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh chapter General Secretary and Senator Taj Haider on Wednesday termed the rejection of a Sindh government summary about powers of Rangers by the federal government tantamount to damaging the spirit of democracy.

In a statement, Taj Haider said the extremism and terrorism are two highly sensitive matters, but only those that face the extremism and terrorism are capable of realizing the sensitivity of these matters.

He asked the federal government to respect the resolution on Rangers powers from the elected Sindh assembly and avoiding any direct or indirect confrontation with the Sindh government. He asked it to support the Sindh government for taking the ongoing targeted operation to its logic conclusion with success.
