Teenage girl killed, three injured in Karachi

KARACHI: One person was killed and three others were injured in different incidents here on Tuesday. The body of a teenage girl, Asma, aged about 18, daughter of Abdul Jabbar, was found strangulated to death from their house in Data Nagar, Orangi Town.

The rescue team said that on a phone call, it recovered the body from the house in Orangi Town area, which was shifted to Qatar Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a woman, Raeesa Begum, 50, wife of Abid, was shot and injured on resistance to a robbery in Ghareebabad, Liaquatabad area.

The sources said two motorcyclists tried to snatch her valuables, but as she offered resistance, robbers shot and injured her. The bandits fled after swift operation. She was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a teenager, Saifullah, 18 son of Najeeb, resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar area, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Gulistan-e-Jauhar B-4. He was brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.

Separately, another youth, Mehtab, 25, son of Sarfraz, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near Millennium Mall, in Askari area. He was shifted to JPMC for treatment.
