Thatta coast put on high alert due to expected cyclone

THATTA: In view of expected cyclone Nilofer, district administration Thatta has issued high alert for coastal area people and directed assistant commissioner to depute required staff in these areas so as to tackle any harm from expected from the cyclone. The district administration has also established nine relief camps, seven medical units and one tent city for 135 villages located along Thatta coastline.

In view of threat of the Nilofar cyclone by Metrological Department, all the possible steps has been taken and fishermen prohibited from sailing in deep sea. The people are also being informed through FM radio services not to go in sea.

Pakistan Navy has also informed the district administration of its services. Chairman Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum Syed Mohammad Ali Shah has also instructed his volunteers to remain in their areas and help people in any possible situation.
