Theft in trader’s house

SIALKOT: Some unknown accused took away Rs.13 million in cash and gold ornaments worth of Rs. 2.5 million from the house of leading rice trader Mohammad Nadeem Karim during a major theft occurred in Daska city’s congested Masjid Haji Nawab Din locality here Tuesday.

As per police the unknown thieves broke into the house in the absence of trader and his family and decamped with Rs.13 million in cash and gold ornaments worth of Rs.2.5 million.

The trader Nadeem told the police that he had kept such big amount in cash at his home in a bid to avert the bank taxes on cash withdrawal.

Daska city police are investigating with no arrest, in this regard.
