Three killed, girl injured in mishaps

KARACHI: Three persons including a woman were killed and a young girl was injured in different incidents in the metropolis on Saturday.

In the wee hours, a woman, Deena, 25, died and a young girl, aged about eight years, injured when a speeding truck hit them while they were riding on motorcycle on Native Jetty Bridge.

The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

The drowned body of a man, Mohammad Ayub, aged about 30, son Mohammad Zahid was recovered near SeaView in Clifton area. It was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

A youth, Ateeq-ur-Rahman, 20, son of Sherdil committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Street No. 8, Akhtar Colony. The body was shifted to JPMC for a postmortem.
