Three killed, six injured in Karachi

KARACHI: Three persons were killed and six others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.

A man, aged about 25, was gunned down and one other, Faisal, 25, son of Shahid, injured by unknown armed men near Chandni Chowk in Garden area. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

A youth Muslim, 25, son of Amir Bakhsh, was killed by unknown gunmen in Meeran Naka in Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

The body of a tortured woman, Mehmooda, 46, wife of Abdul Jabbar, was recovered from a clinic in Raees Amrohvi Colony in Orangi No 11 ½. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem. Police said the victim was a nurse and used to run a maternity home in Orangi Town.

A youth, Bahadur Ali, 22, son of Salahuddin, was shot and injured by unknown gunmen near Dawood Chowrangi in Landhi. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.

Noman, 20, son of Anwar Ali, was injured when unknown armed men opened fire on him in Zamzama Street, Defence Housing Authority. He was brought to JPMC for treatment.

Two men, Ali Khan, 35, son of Noor Hussain, and Imdad Ali, 40, son of M. Wahab, were shot and injured by unknown armed men in Block 1 Gulistan-e-Jauhar. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

In another incident, a woman, Aziza, 50, wife of Mohammad Saeed, was attacked and injured by unidentified men with axe in North Nazimabad. She was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
