Three killed, two injured in city violence

KARACHI: Three people were killed and two others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Monday.

A man, Mohammad Hussain Qadri, 60, was killed and Mohammad Ramzan, 38, injured in firing by unknown gunmen in Ittihad Town area of Baldia Town. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

A man, Dilshad, 35, son of Waseem, resident of Orangi Town, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Iqbal Market, Orangi 11 ½. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

According to rescue sources, a child labour, Ahtesham, 13, son of Mohammad Mohsin, resident of New Karachi, was strangulated to death in an embroidery factory near Godhra bus stop in New Karachi area. The body was shifted to ASH for a postmortem.

In another incident, a youth, Gul Hassan, 25, son of Nadir, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Saba Avenue in DHA Phase 8. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
