Three murder accused remanded to police custody

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) remanded three accused Mohammad Ali, Usman and Fazal Khaliq, to police custody till 21 February 2015 in a cop murder case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer, Inspector Masood Mughal, requested the court to allow the physical remand of all the accused as they wanted to map out their connections and whereabouts of their absconding accomplice, Bilal. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to their custody till 21 February.

According to prosecution, all the accused were involved in killing constable Shah Mir on 26 January 2015 near Nazimabad No.3. The police party followed the accused and arrested them on 10 February. The case 39/15 was registered against the accused at Nazimabad police station.
