SIALKOT: Three persons of a family including local landlord, his first wife and second wife shot dead by the accused family members of the second wife over honour in village Dholleywali-Daska here Monday.
As per police, landlord Mushtaq Ghumman had three daughters from his first wife Sajeela Firdous and his family wanted to have son now, building a pressure on him to conduct his second marriage for son. Meanwhile, he developed illicit relations with a Bahawalpur based woman Gull Naz Bibi and held second marriage with her for want of son from her two years ago. But, she also gave birth to a daughter a year ago. Gull Naz Bibi’s parents were much annoyed over her love marriage with the landlord Mushtaq here. The family also used to give threats her for doing this love marriage.
On the day of incident, Gull Naz Bibi’s father Tariq, uncle Zia and nephew Khurram reached here from Bahawalpur and they stormed in her house at village Dholleywali-Daska. They started spraying bullets, killing landlord Mushtaq, his first wife Sajeela Firdous and second wife Gull Naz on the spot. The accused fled away on motorcycle after killing said three persons of family there. The accused were raising slogans of killing the said three persons as a punishment for conducting love marriage without the consent of her (Gull Naz) family due to which they killed them over honour.
Daska Saddar police have registered a triple murder case against nominated accused Tariq, Zia and Khurram on the report of slain landlord Mushtaq’s brother Ehsan Ullah, with no arrest, in this regard.
Police shifted the dead bodies to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy. SP(Investigation)Sialkot Irfan Tariq Khan reached the spot and inquired about the details of these brutal murders. He said that a special police team led by inspector Mohammad Akhtar Cheema was raiding at various places to ensure the early arrest of the killers in this regard.
Meanwhile, in Daska city’s congested Hajipura locality, a 12 years old boy Ameer Muaviya was gunned down in an ambush after a failed patch up attempt to resolve a domestic issue at the home of victim’s uncle Mohammad Ashfaq Rehmani’s house. Daska city police have registered a case and shifted dead body to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy. Police are investigating with no arrest, in this regard.
