Trade: (FPCCI says success in Shawal to eliminate terrorism forever)

ISLAMABAD: Businessman Panel of the FPCCI has lauded Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and his associates for launching an attack on Shawal, the last stronghold of terrorists in North Waziristan.

Troops are pushing deeper into Shawal fourteen months after operation Zarb-e-Azb started which will result in lasting peace in North and South Waziristan.

The fight is going to be very difficult and bloody due to forests and difficult terrain but we have full faith in capabilities of Gen. Raheel and other commanders, said central leader of the Businessman Panel and former vice president FPCCI Khurram Sayeed.

According to a press releases issued here on Tuesday, talking to the business community, he said that Army should also arrest of kill the leaders of terrorists otherwise operation will not be successful. He said that whole nation is praying for the success of Army which continue to sacrifice their lives to ensure peace and bright future for generations to come.

He said that Rangers have cleared Karachi of most of the criminals and crimes within short span of 23 months and hoped that stage-II of the operation will be a great success. Confidence of masses and business community is climbing due to reducing crimes including extortion, kidnappings, killings etc. However Rangers need on eliminating street crimes, he stressed.

He expressed reservations over faulty investigation and prosecution which is resulting in release of criminals held by the Rangers. Government should improve investigation procedure of give powers for the same to the Rangers, he demanded.

He said that stay of Rangers in Karachi must be extended by two years minimum so that Karachi can become peaceful which is imperative for the economic development of the country reeling under different problems since long. No one can dare push Karachi back into the darkness in presence of Rangers which deserves additional powers to change the situation, he demanded.
